The 3D version of Togozoo rhinoceros that I made for my new portfolio. At the moment, I’m not sure if I’ll upload my new portfolio PDF. I wanted to make a whole new website for my portfolio, schoolworks + real client works, but I guess I should now focus all my attention to the book.

Thanks to Kimberley Croft, I made this new Squizzard doll to accompany me when I was called by Jane Milledge, Animal Logic. The doll is made by clay and covered with paper mache, slightly different from the original version, which is more soft and covered with fabrique. This was mainly caused by the availability of materials, such as size of speakers, mp3 players, etc.

I do hope Squizzard will help me get ‘there’ :)

Cherry, my dalmatian. I took this picture early in the morning when she was waiting for Isah. She kept staring at the door without a single movement, so I quickly grabbed my camera and took a picture of her. Special thanks to my dad who gave me direction when retouching the picture. Yes, I’m proud of my dad. He is an outstanding photographer and he ever worked at Shaw Brothers Studio in Bruce Lee era. He met Bruce Lee in person!! (yes, I’m Bruce Lee fans)

One of my favorite photos taken a couple of years ago, a picture of 4 clown dolls. The doll on top left is real Voodoo doll borrowed from my illustration teacher in 1st year, Annette Lodge, while the one on bottom right is my sister’s. I love the feel of this photo, though it has some technical mistakes, most notably the clipping.

First of all, I’m sorry for giving no update this long. I did some internship and freelance works during last holiday, and it was great in terms of my personal career development as I got big-name clients such as American Express and and Commonwealth Bank – yes they’re corporate, but I still reckon as achievement.

Then I took a full 1 week break right before school started which was crucially needed since I was burnt out. Imagine eating your favorite food as breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 1,5 years without a break – that’s exactly what I felt. After having the much needed rest, I found the enthusiasm back, and it certainly feels good to have that enthusiasm again.

The second thing I’d like to mention here is that I can’t freely upload my new stuffs anymore. I have a deal and we’re now in talks of marketing my stories and characters – a childhood dream come true? Not that I’m not allowed to publish anymore works on the net. It’s just that I’m whole-heartedly dedicated to this project.

Last but not least, I decided to finally include one of my hobbies: Photography – I’m an idiot when it comes to this subject, hahaha..
I miss my dad, who was a great professional photographer. When I was home, I loved asking for his advise as he knows not only the technical but also the aesthetic aspect - which to some extent is more important. Don’t worry, I wont suddenly throw a bunch of pics and turn this site into a personal photolog :p

Sorry for the long pause, I’ve been extremely busy with freelance works last holiday. I’ll start uploading new stuffs in a couple of weeks. Quite many new stuffs to post :D
